The Quilietti family are connected to the Coffrini family Â through Valentina Brattisani Quilietti, our great grandmother. Â Lucia Coffrini was Valentina’s mother, therefore our great great grandmother.

Paarma Cathedral

Lucia Â was born on 1845 in Parma in Italy. Â She married Giuseppe Brattisani in Parma in Italy. Â Their children including Valentina came to Scotland although Giuseppe had business interests in Parma, Paris and Edinburgh. Â Indeed their children were born in all these various towns.

Valentina’s grandparents, our great great great grandparents were Dominic Coffrini who was born circa 1810 and Maria Delzan.

There also was a Eugene Coffrini who was born in the year 1863. Â He would have been brother of Lucia. Â He emigrated to New York. Â His first trip was in the year 1892 sailing on the steamship Fulda from Genoa. Â Â For whatever reasons he returned home to Italy only to make the return journey to New York again in the year 1896, this time from Le Havre’ in France on the steamship Le Champagne’.
