Tribute to Jamie
  • Jamie Stuart Morrison was tragically found by a family member  on Tuesday afternoon.

Dozens of heartfelt tributes have poured in for the 27-year-old who has been described as a “top guy” who was “loved by all”.

Jamie was known for his happy smiling face

His sister, Jodie, 26, paid tribute to her beloved brother on social media. She wrote: “Jamie I love you, I’ll never stop loving you.

“Thanks for all the support from everyone I just can’t really say much right now in shock.”

Jamie, a former member of the hit theatre production the Edinburgh Gang Show, was known for his “famous laugh” and ability to entertain.

The cast paid tribute to their friend and said he will be missed.

in his Kilt

Jamie first appeared in the Edinburgh Gang Show as a Cub Scout in the 80th anniversary item in 1996 and then joined the Main Gang in 1999.

“A natural comedian and singer he often appeared in sketches and fronted musical numbers over a number of years.

“His involvement in Gang Show led him to join many other musical theatre groups in Edinburgh and beyond with him often playing principal parts.

‘Looking Braw Lad!!”

“In recent years he regularly popped into Gang Show rehearsals to support the current Gang and to offer a welcome joke and funny anecdote to the Production Team.

“Only last Friday he was there at the King’s where his famous laugh could be heard all around the auditorium. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this very sad time.”

  2. Diane says:

I do not know you, but I read your story .. and the tears of sadness keep falling.

I weep for your mother whose heart will be broken, I weep for who you were and all that was taken from you. You were here for a short while but you touched many hearts.

The system failed you, you deserved to feel safe after what happened to you.

Know you were loved and may you fly high where ever the clouds are taking you, and feel the freedom now to be the you should have have here on earth. And to your mother may she remember all that you were and hold that in her heart until one day you meet again xxx

  3. Gail Verville says:
