The Quilietti Family

Son of Nardo Quilietti and Maggie Williamson and born on 8th December 1927 in the New Hospice Abbeyhill, Edinburgh.  At the time he was born Nardo was described as a Carting Contractor and Maggie a Restaurant Waitress.  They lived at 71 Leith Street in Edinburgh.

Leonardo, like his father,  ran a fish and chip restaurant but his was  in the Duns/Melrose area of Scotland where he resided for many years.

He married Mary Edith Clare Reynolds on 22nd November 1949 in Portobello, Edinburgh. At this time his occupation was a motor lorry driver.   Later in life other occupations included ‘Master Dry Cleaner’.

Two children were born GARY LEONARDO MARIO QUILIETTI who was born on 22nd May 1950 in the Simpson’s Maternity Hospital in Edinburgh.  Then LAURA MARGARET MARY QUILIETTI came along on 10th December 1952.

Laura married John Robertson in 1972.   We believe she still lives in Coldstream in the Borders.

Gary married twice, the second time in June 2007 to Maureen Ann Gray.  Gary is a landscape Gardiner.

Gary married in England to Isabella Wallace.  We believe that Gary still resides in Cornhill-on-Tweed in Northumberland.

When LEONARDO died in the year 2000 he resided at 10 Coldstream Road, Swinton, Duns.   He was only 71 years old.
