She died after giving birth to her son Leonardo. In 1838 she had been widowed for 8 years.
Maria Maddalena Franchi married Firmo Praccia on 26th October 1820 in Vorno Church, Lucca.
We can see clearly the three generations of Franchi family we know of.
She married Firmo Praccia and they had four children together. She also had one son with unknown person but we are assuming it might have been a friend who took Leonardo to the Church after she died shortly after childbirth in 1838. His name Iacopo Olivieri.

- ANNUNZIATA PRACCIA was born on 24th March 1821 in the village of Vorno, just outside Lucca. She died c-1890. We know she had two boys. Saturino was born on the very same day as Leonardo her brother, you can see his entry just underneath that of Leonardo’s above. He was also given to the Orphanage to be raised. She would have been age 17. She had another son Leonardo who was born in 1840 but do not know what happened to him. If anyone out there has any information on this branch please leave us a comment
- MARIA FRANCESCA PRACCIA was born on 16th September 1822 in Vorno and died age 7 on 4th February 1829
- GIUSEPPE PRACCIA was born on 25th April 1824 and died in 1905. We are actively trying to trace this branch of the family
ANGELA PRACCIA was born on 9th August 1926 in Vorno, Lucca. No further information
FRANCESCO PRACCIA was born on 16th September 1828. He died shortly afterwards on 4th February 1829
