The Quilietti Family

The story of a Scots Italian family

BRATTESANI Lorenzo 1844-1923

GIUSEPPE LORENZO BRATTESANI 1844 -1923

Lorenzo Brattesani was born in the year 1844 in Borgotora.  In 1969 he married Christine Delonge in Italy. Joseph left for America at first in 1875 where we find  They emigrated to the USA in the late 1870s and it was here that they remained.  It seems that the US Authorities had documented their name on arrival in the Country.

1875 finds Joseph running a saloon at 152 Erie in Buffalo.

So we find the family in the 1900 census were called Buzzie……then Bozze…Buzzee. There also was another family around in New York at this time with potential as the same family but they originated in England. there is still a lot of research to be done on this line.

Buffallo, New York was where the family settled. New names as well Laurence and Katherine not Lorenzo and Christine.
