Brattesani Emanuelle – Benedetti line
EMANUELLE BRATTESANI marries Maria Benedetti in Borgo val da Tora in Italy. Date unknown but we will go for circa 1890. Don’t have any other information about Emanuele and not too sure who his parents might be.
Their son Luigi was born in the year 1895 and he came to Scotland and settled in the Mossend area of Glasgow where he resided at 3 Hunter Street, Bellshill. It was here that he had his Fish Restaurant. When he was 33 years old he married Adela Buleviciute in the Mossend Catholic Church in Glasgow
They had two children Pietro Brattesani who was born in 1935. He died tragically aged 21 years of a heart problem which he had endured for 10 years.
Maria Brattesani was born 1929. She married Cornelius Ward in St. Columbas RC Church in Viewpark, Bothwell, Lanark on 15th November 1950. They lived at Hickory Crescent in Uddingston. Maria died on 5th March 2004 with her son Hugh as qualified attendant.
Luigi then moved to Old Edinburgh Road, Viewforth, Uddingston. Luigi died in 1964 onboard an aircraft. At the time he was semi-retired
