The Quilietti Family

The story of a Scots Italian family

COFFRINI Connections

The  Giulianotti family,  Coffrini family and BRATTESANI family all came from the same area of Borgo Val da Tori in Parma, Italy

It is not so unusual then to find that the family lines intermingle with great frequency and it can rather messy for the amateur.

Our 2nd great granny Lucia Coffrini Brattesani  had one brother whose christian name is  unknown at this time.   He  had two  daughters Angelina and Louise Coffrini.   Angelina married into the Giulianotti family and they settled in Aberdeen in Scotland along with the rest of the ever expanding Giulianotti clan.

Angelina married Antonio Giulianotti and their home was at 23 Maxwell Street in the town.   He was a confectioner .   One of their children was run down by a taxi and as a result died when he was only 7 years old.

the archives show that their little boy was tragically killed as a result of a taxi accident in the town

    Hi
My name is Andrea. My third great Grand father Massimo Tozzi(1889-1989) said that when he was really young (about 8 Years old) he went to Inverness, Scotland to work for some time for a restaurant, maybe of the Coffrini family(he often repeated this name saying that they treated him very well). He was also from Borgo Val di Taro. My informations are from my mum Memories, i was Born in 1996 so too young to meet him.
Was there a Coffrini restaurant in Inverness ? He also repeated the name “Denby”. Was It a street or zone of the city?
    Thank you. Andrea

Thanks for your comment Andrea. I hope someone from the City can answer these questions. But I do know that many of the connected families were from Borgo and they did all help each other out. Helen.
