The Quilietti Family

The story of a Scots Italian family

Quilietti/Chiletti BRAZIL connections

FAMILY AND QUILETTI CHILETTI

Jose Carlos Quiletti

Jose Carlos Quiletti contacted me and let me know his story.   His surname is spelled the exact same as our own, but he is not a member of our family.

Here is how his name was born.

My family is from São Paulo Brazil, I am Brazilian, I am Italian immigrants’ son..

Good morning, here’s my story has and not have the Italian citizenship.

My great-grandfather Elisha Chiletti was born in 1868 in the town of Ferrara in 1890 and came to Brazil already married to Alba Chiletti Guide. Stabilized in the town of Rocinha today “Vineyard” where they were working in the coffee plantation.

The Italian couple had eight children: Anna, Joseph Raphael, Ecttore, Francis, Mary, Ida and Benedict. The only live until 2002 Benedict is the rest have died and almost everyone in the city of Jundiai.

There starts the confusion of names, my grandfather was born on 02nov1895 and there is no place of birth in office that I know, I am of Mogi das Cruzes and went to Jundiaí look: I found nothing but the death certificate (No. 090, 184V sheets, paragraph of 1678) cosntava where he was born in the city of Monte Alto St. Paul, went to the office of Monte Alto and nothing contained in registros.Como my great-grandfather did his residency in Rocinha, I went to the office and got the certificate Vineyard wedding that I found very interesting, containing eight pages, 1st and 2nd of the office, 3rd statement grooms, 4th attestation of witnesses, 5th authorization and certificate, 6th certificate of oath, 7th qualification for marriage justice of the peace and the 8th was the certificate qualification for civil marriage ..

ERROR: seven children were registered with the name of “QUILETTI” CHILETTI and not what would be the right corresponding to the surname of my great-grandfather Elisha Chiletti.

I looked at various search engine of immigrants and found nothing about it, I was in the capital in all areas of immigration and nothing is in, just know that my grandfather registered sure that Chiletti Benedict last child is alive, my grandfather died on November 28 1947 I would do three years, my grandfather Joseph Quiletti died on November 23, 1976 and my father passed away on April 30, 1994 my citizenship and went to outer space. This is what happens to many people like me, I believe that my ancestors migrated to Brazil in some of the time underground steam and misled by a promised land .
