I remember my uncle Gusto and aunt Greta (Margaret) with much fondness.
As John and I were born one day apart, we grew up almost as siblings, which many of the village folk took us for.
Along with Natalia, Jasmine and our cousin Joyce Slater, we would congregate in one or other of our family’s houses around Pathhead. In our early teens this tended to be our grandmother Mary Hunter’s house.
Gusto enjoyed showing off his latest vehicular acquisitions, taking us out for a spin, followed by a slap-up meal in his favourite restaurant. He loved his Aston Martins!
